I see some Opus X in there. My local place has them for 38 bucks a piece. Too rich for my blood

Took the shorty on a walk around the truck stop and Case dealership. I’ve been enjoying these quite a bit, probably should order more.

Medium flavor and good enough to smoke it all the way down to the nub.

These are becoming one of my favorites

And this guy also, he has killed 4 raccoons & sniffed out several others so he & my lab can work them over jointly.

My buddy sent me these & ask if it was plume. I hated to rain on his parade but told him I believed it was mold.

Maybe plume on the left hand cigar in this photo

There some who say plume is a myth and that it's all mold. I have no idea which is true and can see the arguments for both sides, but I'd sure be hesitant to smoke any cigars with that on it.

I think plume is somewhat crystalline in appearance and brushes off easy and readily. I agree with JimBear those in the above photo appear to be mold. FWIW.

I had this one with morning coffee a couple different times this past week. The re-light did not show any bad taste from sitting outside for two days in between smokes.

Yeah, that's what they say, and the picture James put up definitely looks like mold to me. I'm not knowledgeable enough to know either way. There's several types of mold too. So, I don't know. I'm also not trying to start a plume vs mold war either. :)

I've watched several videos from this guy and he's not a believer in plume. This is just one source, although I've found more than a few over the past several months. It was someone on here or OPE who brought it to my attention and I did some research and like most everything else on the internet, you can find cases/people that make valid points for either side of whatever discussion, which leaves me about in the same spot as when I started my research.

    Carry on folks.

I've had cigars with plume on them from time to time. First time I found they it was "Oh crap!"

But, it just brushes right off.

For awhile, as soo as I got cigars shipped to me I would stick them in a freezer for a few days and then transfer them to the humidor (coolidor in my case) but I have since fallen away from that practice. I believe it was supposed to kill any beetle larvae that the tobacco could be infested with. Here's some images I found

Hope you can still enjoy your cigars this evening, gents! [IMG]
