I too have mini splits. I did the DIY Mr. Cool brand system. 3 indoor units with a single outdoor unit. The Mr. Cool app has the filter clean reminder to clean the filters based off usage. Very helpful with how busy everyone is nowadays.

I installed the same setup in my daughters house 3-3 1/2 yrs ago(no issues, uses it for ac and heat)
I installed mine in April of this year. I only plan on using mine for AC but has both AC and heat. Very easy install. I guess time will tell if we run into any issues down the road.

From what I'm hearing is the service guys don't like to work on them. Not sure why.

From what I've read over the past couple years is parts are not readily available for the Mr Cool systems, like you replace the unit instead.

Good theory, but the guy that installed my system couldn't be bothered to make an appointment for service. I finally gave up and contacted someone else to do it.

No money in the service compared to doing installs. That"s were the $$ is made.

If that installer has a "service what we sell" in the sales pitch, I'd be pluckin up a chit review stating his untruth!! Just saying!

B, yours is Fujitsu correct? 2 years at this point?

My Samsung system is working really well but at 1 year old it should be. As I couldn't get my 1st 2 choices (Mitsubishi or Fujitsu) really hoping the Samsung holds up well.

I've had the Mitsubishi now for a full year and we have had zero issues. I will say though that I think it cools more efficiently than it heats. Thats why I dragged two tons of pellets into my cellar yesterday.
