SP-1 I'd probably sell to communist state so someone else can have a tiny bit of their rights back, Garand ain't worth much, but I'll give him $300 for it.

New (to me) rifle came today. Cooper of Montana M21 Varminter in .223. Tack driving range gun. Scope coming in the mail. Should be fun.

Very nice! I still might buy one of those Phoenix rifles in 204 or 20 VarTarg. I've been looking at Cooper on and off for several years.

InitialLoadDevelopment_100yds.jpg Doing initial load development for the .223 Cooper with Dave Geesman today Basically, it shot everything well below MOA. I'd say it's a very forgiving gun. :DExcellent loads by Dave, too. P.S. Bullet hole on lower right target belongs to the upper right group. I aimed at the wrong target.

Not sure. Bullets were nothing special 55gr. Dave loaded the cartridges, so not sure details of the brass, primer, powder. Gun seemed to like 24-26 gr of powder.

Excellent job bud. That is getting it done. Says as much about the shooter as the rifle.

Thanks! Honestly, I'm very much a novice. Dave makes some super consistent loads and the rifle is spectacular. I'm sold on the Cooper of MT brand. My M52 in 280 Ackley Improved and this M21 in .223 both shoot lights out. Basically, you get a custom rifle accuracy for the price of a factory rifle. It will be very interesting to see how the Cooper brand evolves after being sold to Nighthawk... I thing the older Cooper of MT rifles may become collector's items.

Sitting in the sunshine yesterday, pondering yet another lackluster group, wondering what else I can do to get them onto that 1" circle more consistently. I generally put 2 sometimes 3 inside the 1" ring with the others dancing around them ...and it's getting monotonous...

Wondering if this 6ARC thing was the right choice, the feeble little lightbulb in my brain flickered and blinked, then slowly started to glow faintly.

I grabbed my allen wrenches from the truck toolbox and snugged the leg bolts on my Atlas bipod.

    Huh, who knew...

I've been trying to get one of these Taurus tx .22 compacts for 7 month's since they were introduced
My local shop couldn't get them finally another shop got some in and they were on sale and cheaper than the regular TX .22 IMG_20230807_114116~2.jpg
I put a cylee cat dot on it
    IMG_20230807_114143.jpg
I'm new to dots they seem to help with my astigmatisms
    Top groups tx .22
    IMG_20230807_114102.jpg
Bottom group shield plus with a primary arms classic red dots
I need to adjust the dots more.

I bought this gen 4 glock 23 in 2011 and never shot i much I quit shooting .40 when component prices went to expensive IMG_20230814_220759.jpg
I found a us made trybe barrel .40-9mm conversion on clearance for 40.00
And i just needed a Glock 19 mag to run 9mm
I was surprised they used to be 12-15.00 for oem Glock mags now they are 26-30.00+
My local shop didn't have any because they used to have them on the sales floor
But people stole all of the gen 1-3 glock 19
mags they did have one gen 5 mag but they don't work in a gen 4
They had to move all the mag's behind the counter to prevent more theft.
I found us made ETS mags for 8.00 a piece so I bought 3 for the price of one oem mag.
    They work great IMG_20230815_184712.jpg

It's more accurate than i am no malfunctions but did print a little high and left compared to the original .40 barrel .
