Good morning. 3 hours at this job then off for a startup meeting at another job. Then hopefully home early to slack..got some sciatic nerve pain flaring up. Anyone know how to relieve that pain?

For me, the next step was to find a great chiropractor. Between those two things, my sciatica issues are now far and few between.

My sciatic nerve issues ended pretty much when I ditched the wallet and then started sitting properly in chairs and stuff.

Limping will also cause your hips to twist and irritate the sciatic too. A good set of insoles helps here too.

I hadn't been on the scales in a while and with all the desserts we've had I expected more of a weight gain but the scales said 198.2 this morning. Staying at or around 198 will be my goal, my calorie intake will be between 2100 - 2300 depending on whether I'm on the treadmill or doing some firewood work outside.

Jay is just in between point A and point B. I don’t look left or right and rarely in the mirror.

Mackenzie exercises. Fairly simple to do and quick. Takes the pressure off the aggravated disks. I have a traction setup as well but haven’t used it in years now.

I have to do this multiple times a day or my upper hip / SI gets really agrivated...and if it goes on too long I'll get nerve pain.

Find something sturdy, waist height, and corner shaped. I usually use my kitchen counter or hand rails at work. Corner shape lets you lean forward more and really get a good stretch. Put your hands shoulder width apart on each side of the corner, lean forward a little, and slowly transfer your weight off your feet into your arms. Just let your low back stretch for 10-15 seconds. I usually get a pretty good pop, but that's just me. I do this 2-3 times per day.

I found some stretching exercises to do in the pool that would pull me out of the pain within two or three days. Also, one time I was suffering from sciatica for a couple of weeks when I slipped on ice and landed on my hip. When I got up, I noticed the pain from sciatica was gone.

I do not. Once in a while get a quick shooting pain shock thing down my leg, makes me jump sometimes. Then magically a day of a few days later of that every so many minutes I get click/pop in my hip/pelvis and it stops. Sorry.

The weather is about as nasty as it gets around here today. Absolutely take your breath away humid.

I got up early did the morning pick on the blackberries and it wasn't too bad. The evening pick is going to suck. I'm getting about 4 gallons a day now. Every time I think we are getting to the peak I find out I was wrong.

Hate being stuck indoors in the evening but I think today and tomorrow are going to have to be that way.

Your dew points are that high? That's crazy humid. It's been in the upper 60's to 75 here and that's humid. For reference I looked up Saigon and Ho Chi Minh city (several of my friends who are MUCH older than me were in Vietnam and they said how bad the humidity was there) and they're similar to here just going by the numbers
