Me either; I had cash in bank, savings for next vehicle. Inflation was 10% they offered 0% financing.. wife got her Ridgeline (I am not on it) went into Major surgery 12/31/21.. refinance personal home 3% for 30.. 5 years from payoff on original plan why .. if surgery went wrong she wasn’t on title or mtg… protect girls from losing it too bank.. (owned home prior to marriage) Debt free is a MAJOR goal.. but protection of family comes first..
So.. I've been lacking on showin off my pups hunting skills. She dropped this one off on 7/7/2023.. #13 we're pretty sure. She knows where to lay a prize that ensures Dad sees it. Beer fridge to the right. This morning she had one up the maple just past our front bank.. I never figured it'd be stupid enough to come down while she was still outside. Several hours later.. #14 She's a woodchuck worst nightmare. Should nickname her "Freddy Chucker"
I won’t like post BUT can relate I went into surgery before I recuperated wife fell and broke fingers in her hand.. most jobs pinky is in inconvenience.. not for Dental hygienist We are good… life is a crazy ride hang on
I still have a little mortgage that is rapidly falling away because I over twice the principal every month. I do use a CC but I pay it off in full as soon as I see the charges get posted. I earn about $500 in rewards each year. I was told always pay with CC and get protection. Never use a debit card to buy things. No car payments now for several years. What gets me is our high electric bill. For my son's family and the wife and I, it is close to $400 a month. No electric hot water. All energy saving LEDs and mostly all new appliances. Rates for electricity are outrageous. Last year, the rates doubled and have had additional increases since then. The other high cost is for internet and TV services. $200 a month. When you live on a fixed income, you have to use caution with every debt. We live OK and have all I really need. When we depart this world, there won't be debt our kids need to deal with.
Wow...that sucks!! I complain because mine is a little over 200/month on average, but I do have an electric hot water heater
Especially from a monopoly… asks govt for rate increases. Then when a disaster happens it’s not their fault. 24 days without power because the electric transformer malfunctioned juiced the meter and caught wires on fire.. on same page with flood; 1 foot water hot water heaters (leased from same electric company) fell over ripped plumbing off wall. Power co plumber wants plumbing fixed to replace tanks… won’t get old ones out of way first
I had planned on cutting some of that downed cherry but changed my mind. Since the weather was nice today (no smoke) I made a trip to the cemeteries and took care of the flowers. Before I took off from the first cemetery, I noticed a veteran's memorial plaque that the grass had grown over pretty good covering up the info so I cut the grass back to the edge of the cement and cleaned it off, looks a ton better. Hopefully on my next trip in, I can do two more. I'll be cleaning a family members next week, that is bronze and the one I did today was an older one that was cement. I'm back at 197.2 this morning so the workouts on the treadmill and cutting back the calories worked. I wanted 197 by the weekend so I'll go for 195.
Just came in from shooting the bow and it isn't all that hot but dang is it sticky out there. Only walked about 1/2 mile back and forth at a leisurely pace and sweat through my shirt. Garden harvest is starting. Won't be long and I'll have to start canning stuff.
Whoa... Holly's not dead. Thank the Lord Perhaps I shouldn't use the term "pup" for our nearly 9 yr old gal.. but she is and will always be my puppa.
