Had a great time at Kevin's last year. Unfortunately Mrs W scheduled vacation for us on that weekend this year. And we aren't going to Michigan.

Good morning folks. We had some rain at the track last night. They had to run the track back in after the showers. Got home at 330 AM. Think I'm going to just slack off today

The push mower and working up a good sweat yesterday pushed me through my wall (199) this morning the scales read 196.8 on my 79th day.

Once I hit 200 my goal was 195 but was having a tough time getting through 199 so since the scales read 196.8 it was another 2 plus hours behind the P/M today. Hopefully tomorrow morning, I'll be 195 plus or less.

Today and Monday are my last two days on this weight loss journey, I should've been counting calories a long time ago.

That's 30.4 pounds lost since I started. Once I'm done, I'll have to pick a weight that I plan on staying at and then maintain it.

So far the calorie intake today is at 1360, I'll have a chocolate bar around 7:30 p.m. (200 calories) that will put me at 1560 for today. Yesterday I had a Hershey's Chocolate Bar that upped my calories to 1703 for the day.

My calorie intake is less than yesterday so with the work I put in today, the scales should be showing me a lower number tomorrow morning than today.

That old push mower is some nice exercise, I had on a lightweight base layer on under everything yesterday so I was soaked when I came inside and this morning the scales read 195.0, that's 32.2 pounds off the frame since I started 80 days ago and 1.8 pound loss from yesterday.

My calorie intake today will be 1295, we'll see if I drop any weight without any exercise today. I decided that there wouldn't be any chocolate bar tonight so I removed 200 calories, that brings down to the 1295.

I did do some pushing of a shopping cart and a walk with the dog in the rain today.

On day number 81 (my last) the scales read 194.4, that's a loss of 32.8 pounds from what I started at, 227.2 on 4/15/23.

I'm not sure what weight I want to be at but it's more than the 194.4, maybe 200 to 208 and see how that goes.

My blood pressure at the doctors office was 115/79.

I took a vacation day to work. Had a ton of rain so I'm mowing all day and working in my orchard.

    God is not Dropbox

    by Linda Buxa

I love Dropbox. It’s a place in “the cloud” where I keep files so I can access them whether I’m working from a phone, a work computer, or my home computer. Except ... the other day it turned out that I had deleted a file I needed.

Thankfully, Dropbox has a “restore deleted files” feature. The smart tech people knew that you might throw away something you later need. So I clicked on the “restore” button, and what was gone got brought back.

I’m a lot like Dropbox. I know that when Jesus died on a cross and rose from the dead, God deleted my sins and guilt. Yet I often click on the “restore deleted sins” button, bringing guilt and remorse back as I ponder why I was so dumb when I was young (and not so young).

This is why I’m extra grateful that God isn’t like Dropbox at all. When he deletes my wrongs, they’re gone forever. He promises: “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more” (Hebrews 8:12). Now, when we try to bring them back, God looks at us questioningly and says, “Sins? Guilt? What are you talking about?”

There is a “restore” button that God is interested in, though. It’s the one King David talked about after he asked for—and received—forgiveness for adultery and murder. He pleaded with God: “Restore to me the joy of your salvation” (Psalm 51:12).

God happily clicks on that button. Over and over and over
