A couple of weeks ago on a Friday before starting back at work on the Saturday I got the opportunity to go out for a nice load of wood. It’s early winter here in Australia and we’ve had some cold miserable weather so to get a day with no clouds and plenty of sunshine was awesome. Temps were only around 14 deg C but I ended up down to my tshirt. There’s a few more loads in this tree yet. Managed a pie and a coke for lunch whilst I was there and even got a send off from the locals lol.
Yep I don’t get the luxury of cutting nice long straight logs unfortunately but it’s awesome wood and that’s the main thing. Hydraulic splitter is my friend lol.
Thats a biggun! Plenty of wood there. Nice weather always a plus regardless of the time of year. Way to get it done Matt! Im liking that built in oven. Hot lunch while cutting...mmmm! Bet those cows are glad you didnt have some beef stew!
Thank You. Eucalyptus is primo firewood there...I think? Have seen some kind of Gum also mentioned before.
Nice grab! I know I've said it before, but I love that trailer. Your winter temps are my summer temps
Correct me if I am wrong HuskyMatt but aren’t gum trees a eucalyptus tree also? Love Victoria winters very little ice..
Some nice blue skies with barely a cloud to be seen. An oven and cooler in the back of the vehicle with your husky out cutting some great firewood. Very nice indeed.
