    I remember driving by the house last winter and always thought there was way too much smoke coming outta the chimney even for a start up? I bet its gonna be the same this year.

    The first year I got a full coffee can of stuff, now with dry firewood 1 /4 of a can per year might go every 2 years to clean !

    Something I noticed when I cleaned the stove yesterday, was the ash was probably 99% ash.
    I emptied using the ash pan twice, then just used the shovel on the rest, but when I dumped it all into the firepit, there were virtually zero unburned chunks of coal.
    The old stove would have left quite a bit more.
    Thought that was interesting, but I'm weird like that.:thumbs:
