Good morning, y'all. Hope y'all have a TERRIFIC TUESDAY. 71° and humid this morning, good chance of rain all week. Another day of 7AM-7PM shift. Sharpened 2 sets of mower blades and a 25" chain last night, helped our son move a big bee hive after dark to a permanent stand.

Good morning Jeff. They are installing the elevators now. There are stairs and a buck hoist that's mounted to the outside of the building. And yes all metal studs in neith some fire rated wood blocking in the restrooms for partitions and grab IMG_20230620_061651427.jpg bars.

Nice. I remember those days. I did electrical construction in the late 80's. Never worked on a building that high though. Have a great day.

    Good morning y'all.

    65/90 sunny.

Planning to haul a load of logs this morning then saw cedar logs in front of the 48" fan for a few hours.

    Yesterday's three loads.....takes around 3 hours round trip with loading/unloading. IMG_20230619_105228.jpg IMG_20230619_152144.jpg IMG_20230619_202559.jpg

Thankfully it is not as hot as forecast and now they have dropped the expected temps. Good thing.

Morning all. Sky is clear this morning. About six sailboats anchored out over night. Some are moving out this morning. The motor cruisers usually leave this time in the morning so they have calm water to cross the straits to the mainland channel.
Had a nice visit at Mom's last night with my brother. He is here for a couple of days finishing the railings on Mom's deck. Nice stained cedar is what he chose to use. Makes everything else look old and grubby.
Off to work again this morning.

    Everyone have a great day.

Good morning! 72F and sunny, it's going to be a hot one today. Good thing it isn't summer yet.  I split up some nearly dry cottonwood last night to supplement ash for bundles. I need to stock up for July 4th buyers. Also split and stacked a bunch of older dry shorts to fill a tote at the roadside stand. I love getting paid to get rid of scraps. Summer league girls high school basketball tonight - 2 games. Have a God day!

Morning I nicknamed this locomotive little Italy.

This unit was in for wreck damage and was parked in out yard waiting repair. In the mean time there was a homeless guy living in the cab, he had a pair of dikes and needed some moneyand cut ALL the wires out of the high voltage cabinet. 2 weeks ago this cabinet was bare.

We had to make up all new wire bundles and started installing them.

This is the progress so far.

We still have more bundles to make up and install but we ran out of wire. We burned through a 5,000 ft roll of #16 wire. That's not the only wire size being used either. The wire bundles are no longer than 20 ft so that tells you how many wire are in there currently.

I've destroyed a lot of that type of electrical stuff in control boxes that I bought at industrial auctions..... I never fail to admire the skill of the people who put it all in there to begin with..... it's kinda painful to just butcher such fine workmanship!

I didn't do it for just the wire though, it was more for the high dollar "brains" to sell on eBay.

    Good morning, members.

Another nice day ahead. Around 70⁰ and dry.

My brother and I hope to fo some casting today, from the sides of the canal. Rarely do we actually catch anything.

    Be safe
    Be healthy
