I think the BBS have their fall season stuff ready to be swapped in the isles. JK, But summer stuff has mostly taken over. They all had clearances on many of the plant/flower displays.

Got up a bit ago....HOUSE AT 64F BRRRRRRRRR
By this time we are usually done with stoves until fall.....
Tossed a fire in the Big Whitfield .....Will take the chill off pretty quick.....

Forecast is for cooler weather and rain over the weekend........

High Cascades (5000 feet and up) may see up to a foot of fresh snow over the weekend....
    Crazy weather...

Got a lot of rain last evening. A couple thunderstorms with light rain in between from about 7-9 or so. Supposed to rain again most of Sat.

A odd thing Lori & I noticed last night. We usually watch Ch 7 WHDH news out of Boston, they cover a lot of NH stuff as well. For the past couple months, every night there is a story about a vehicle accident where the vehicle ends up in a house or business. Every night. I know it's crazy out on the roads these days, but every day?

I hear ya - several mornings over the past couple weeks have been around 64 inside. Can't remember firing up the stove in June prior to this season. Heck, I will likely need to run a small fire this evening - chase chill and dry the humidity up some. It's is around 60F right now.

Was on vacation this week so used some of that time to go pick me up a new pellet hauler. 5 x 10 3000 gvwr,2100 lb payload, removable rear gate for loading the pellet skid.No more unloading part of the skid into my truck bed to be legal with the old trailer. IMG_20230613_120358726_HDR.jpg

You'll find it handy for many other things too. Mainly, neighbors/friends wanting to borrow it.

I think today is the day. The day that I clean out the P43, block up the exhaust, disconnect the OAK, and put it to rest until fall. Letting it run one last time this morning to get the chill out, then turning off the thermostat.

    Crazy weather
We ran the Big Whitfield yesterday until after breakfast (10:30am) and the house stayed around 68-70 F all day.
Cloudy and showery weather most of the day...... about 1/4" of precip......

We started the big stove back up last night about 10 pm Just before bed time and ran it all night...Its still on.....WE HAVE NEVER HAD A STOVE ON ALL NIGHT IN JUNE BEFORE...... BEEN IN THIS HOUSE SINCE December 1993
A few times in the past we would have a few small fires in the little stove to take the chill off in the morning.....But that was usually all done by the first week of the month.

    45F outside this morning..........

One for the books me thinks.......

In two weeks I taught 13 chipmunks and 2 mice how to swim. Nothing in the last two days.

I have some competition two large mousers, a couple of fox, and an old large racoon. So my body count is anemic, got 3 at once, young chipmunk play follow the leader. Leader was not bright.
