    The shame is, there is equipment that is temperature controlled. If the heat gets to a certain point, the siren and lights come on, If it gets higher, the door opens so the dog can get out. The death of an expensive dog, and the bad press, and career damage to the handler make it really dumb not to buy that safeguard.

    If the cop isn't smart enough to not lock his dog in a hot car, he probably should find another line of work that doesn't involve firearms, car chases, animals, and humans.

    Sadly all of that technology failed in one case recently and that dog perished as well.

    It shouldn't take technology. It's common sense. If this is too complicated for them to handle they are in the wrong career field.
