We made it back to HELL! 1 hour and 40 mins to go 8 miles in Phila. Part of Interstate 95 collapsed as best we heard on radio from a car fire. We left at 7:30ish. I'll post what we got when the FUZZ is out of my head from driving...
Robin and I got home about an hour ago. What a great weekend , big Thank You to Joe , Scotty and the gun club. Wonderful hospitality from all the good folks there in Pennsylvania !
Thanks a bunch to you, Joe and the club for hosting such a wonderful event. I enjoyed meeting new people and seeing all the others I have met at other GTG’s.
I would like to truly thank everyone from the bottom of my heart. The GTG was yet another success, great food, great friends and good stories told! I haven't gotten a chance to talk to Rick to see how much wood that we got processed but I am gonna say it was pretty close to last year. I'll check with him tomorrow, me and Scotty are going back after work tomorrow to finish the clean up and make sure everything is back in order. Here's the group picture.
Wow, the event is done, but it will still be going on in your minds and hearts for a long time. And that is the way it should be for such events. Some of you have been to two of the events. Double the fun! The stories, food, campfire, what a time it must have been.
I would but I either know peoples names or handles not both. There were a few people there that I may have met them once or twice and can't remember their names or handles! Backwoods Savage would probably be the guy for this job!
x10... I had a great time there. Work hard, Play hard seemed to be the theme again as always... I got home about 3:00 and we got some rain here today finally. I unloaded the stuff that I didn't want to get any wetter than it already was and took a nap. Awesome food all weekend and I must say that the pizza at Scotty's was very impressive. He has the cooking down pat and the crew at the prep table was making it happen to get 24 pizzas through that oven and feed a crew that size. Breakfast was fantastic as usual with Blacksmith at the Blackstone... I enjoyed all the great food there and I usually try to at least sample everything. Lamb to strawberry cake desserts... I can't come close to naming all the great food there. The raffle was awesome as well. 7??? Ton of work got done too. Had fun on the rifle range with Welder Dave for a nice break from cuttin' and splittin'... Took a little ribbing over my homemade hotel room... LOL The comradery and sharing of BS and knowledge is always fun at these events. It was great seeing the folks I've met before and great to meet new members and others that I've known from their posts and finally got to meet face to face. Did I mention that the food was awesome? I seem to focus on that sometimes...
There it is...the sign! Brought a smile to my face as soon as i saw it. Who has it been passed to? Monty? EDIT: i see it went to Jeff. AWESOME! Congrats my friend!
Did eatonpcat happen to torpedo into your tent at the end of the night or did you help him to his!? He was looking VERY happy when I left last night.
N o torpeoing but I sure was happy! Home by 10:30 this morning! Thanks Joe and Scott, great time, excellent hosts!
