The weather got a bit warm yesterday and I am betting there are plenty of bodies with sunburn now. Looks like we are in for our first hot spell of the year and still no rain. It is getting really dry now.

Morning all. Up early again today so I can get some bookkeeping in before work.
Work was rather exciting yesterday. I came back from my break in the morning and we had orders to evacuate the building. Real grass fire outside the building at the back so we had firetrucks on scene very quickly. Got it wetted down and out in no time. In the midst of all that, we got news that we had to send some students home early as their dedicated school ferry wasn't going to run because of gale force winds forecasted. We get back in the building and find that our central school district internet/email server is shutdown due to a power outage where it is. This really limits our parent notification system. After we got service back, emails were coming in really sporadically. It was a busy day.
Hopefully today will be less eventful.

Backwoods Savage the banana bread and cake turned out quite well considering it has been a while since I have done any baking. Note on the cake said yes and on the bread said no. I knew campinspecter would recognize the smell as soon as he came through the door and would come looking for it. Banana bread is for potluck on Sabbath.

    Everyone have a great day.

Judy used to make the banana bread often but not so often the cake. I miss her baking but not as much as I miss her.

Good morning! 80F and sunny. Forecast says hot all week. I've been mostly MIA for a few days. I took Friday and never worked so hard in 4 days... Most of it spent filling the roadside stand and splitting already seasoned wood to keep it full. Thankful to be back at work so I can get a bit of rest in the office. I cut up the last of some cottonwood I brought home last year. It's ready to burn and will be turned into bundle wood tonight. That's probably about all I'll manage with the heat. Have a God day!

Good morning, y'all. Hope y'all have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY.
60° heading to 88. We got a short shower yesterday afternoon, just enough to put the saws up. Working on the woodyard this morning, then taking grandsons to Dr app after lunch.
Split and stacked some oak yesterday and helped Miz Carol spread the red mulch in her beauty spot and a couple flower beds. Need about 25 more bags for the lantanas.

One corner of the beauty spot. The stones have Meme and each grandchild has a stone. 35345.jpeg
Rose bed at the end of the utility room 35350.jpeg
More of the beauty spot 35340.jpeg
The beauty spot has 5 rings like this. 3 hydrangeas, 2 camellias. 35343.jpeg

Morning all. Looks like another sunny day ahead of us. What keeps the temperature down here is the cold westerly wind off the water. We are in a high fire hazard rating though. School was exciting again. Small fire in a washroom yesterday. So small that it didn't set off the fire alarms but caused a bit of excitement for a few minutes. Apparently we have had a fire in an old garbage dump a couple of miles outside of town for a couple of days. I think it is out now.

Hammerhead20 I hope you have an awesome time on your trip.
T.Jeff Veal that beauty spot of Miz Carol's looks so nice. My yard is a mess.
Sawdust Man looks like Mrs. Hadley is going to be busy for awhile.

    Everyone have a great day.

Good morning! 77F and sunny, heat continues through the weekend. Pulled the splitter out of the shop to finish of the last of the cottonwood from last year. A guy delivered a load of logs in my driveway with a rolloff so I hopped on the skid steer after I finished splitting and stacked them next to the driveway for processing. Then I replaced a pallet on one of my racks to put it back into service. Bible study at church tonight. Have a God day!

Good morning, yall. Hope y'all have a TREMENDOUS THURSDAY. 61° this morning, heading to 90. Last day off this week, got to go trim up the ditches and cut some mimosas out of the azaleas in our friend's yard, then helping a church member/cuzn get his new grapple/3rd function kit installed on his tractor. Dinner tonight with the friends we do the yard for.
    Be blessed, be a blessing.

    Good morning y'all.

    66/88 muggy.

Sawdust manufacture this morning, then probably log hauling.

Yesterday a local dozer guy called and offered free logs......5 or 6 more logs to happen... he's loading em with the excavator, and it's just a few miles from home.
