My Amish sawmill hardwood loads went from $20 last year to $25 this year. I think it’s still an ok deal.. This one was mostly hard maple.
It's a 20' car trailer, 7' wide with 2.5' high sides (and it's heaped above that in the middle). So 2.75-3 cord if I'm doing the math right.
buZZsaw BRAD, yeah I can’t stack the blocks so me and kids put them in the “pallet rack” this afternoon in the middle of the old pasture, in full sun/wind. (I sprayed weed/grass killer around after the pic to keep that all down for the summer)
Sweet location. That'll be ready come Winter. Kinda jealous as i dont have much in the way of an ideal drying location.
I won't lie, it's hard to make the time to C/S/S actual firewood with everything else going on in life when I can just wheel the trailer down 5 miles to the mill and have them fill it up for that price.
I don't blame ya. I wouldn't CSS much either if I had that deal. How often do they fill it up for ya?
