Just scolded a telemarketer calling me about "my senior benefits". :zip:

    I'm not a senior.
    "How old are you?"
    None of your business!

Behind this truck. I am presuming the owner is a logger.

Decided to begin planting a few things in the garden yesterday and ended up planting everything.

Check that off the list. :handshake:

    The insult to injury…

I got out of the shop and left about 4 pm Wednesday. Got 35 miles up the road and the Diesel Particulate Filter plugged and derated the engine. No clue why it never did that on the shop but “oh well”. The fix was to have the DPF sent out and cleaned and retested. Seems the turbo not working like it should have really sooted up the engine.

lost Thursday for getting delivered to be home empty come Friday as a result.

I’ll be home today about 1:30 PM and then have to go deliver on Tuesday. Had I gone on to Fargo to deliver, I wouldn’t have gotten there until everyone left for the holiday weekend.:headbang:

I will say though, I’d always thought this truck was a dog. Just seem to loose power too easy on the hills and would never get up to speed quickly. That is no longer the case now with the new turbo actuator and a clean emissions system.

    bill for the situation

    tow - $1000
    Turbo actuator -$3000
    DPF cleaning $1800.

so much for buying my conveyor and rugged made splitter this summer.

I’ve been complaining about it to my mechanic for two years now. But I was also getting performance out of it that worked better than most stock trucks.

I also came out of a truck with 630 hp and 2300 lb/ft of torque. This one is 500/1900. So my perspective was kind of skewed.

Gave car a shot of gas the other day. Pedal went to floor, car dropped back to idle.

Throttle cable broke. Got it Jerry rigged with a wire till I can fix it properly. Fix it properly means replace the car.

Went to the family cemetery to replace the urn. (annual event). Had a heck of a time loading it in the van and then pulling it to the gravesite with my mobility scooter. Had to rest a half hour before I could get moving again. I've been doing this for close to 50 years, except when I was away on military service. I'm afraid I have reached the end of my ability to keep this up without becoming one of the occupants. Maybe I can hire someone to plant some perennials around the stones. That seems to be what some others are doing. Not nearly as many urns seen there as there was many years ago. I had thieves strike twice and steal the uns. Now I use the plastic ones not worth stealing.
Wish you all a happy and safe Memorial Weekend.
