I meant to ask. Does the conveyor only have one speed?

It’s got a throttle. It’s running just above idle enough to engage the centrifugal clutch. I wish it could run even slower. There’s no need for speed in a conveyor.

    Mission accomplished!

For the record, that pen was must about empty before the swarm arrived.

Conveyor speed seemed perfect , any faster it would be chucking them into another zip code..

Slower would be better, given sufficient torque.

Standing next to it for a few hours feeding Jo log chunks while he was running it there was zero issues what -so- ever. Speed was perfect , quiet and never anything close to a log jam. That tank of fuel will no doubt outlast the operator on any given day.
If it ain't broke and works = leave it alone.

The only thing I had to look out for was the belts near the bottom.
Maybe just a scrap piece of plywood cut on an angle to fit to keep the pant legs out.
Other than that ; perfect setup.

There is a guard that covers those belts. I’ve removed it. Every once in awhile a chunk of wood gets under the belt and jams between the drum and the center tongue bar. There’s only 1/2” of clearance between the two. To get it out I use an old leaf spring in the big pulley to reverse the belt until I can reach in and get it.
Eventually I’ll stop making wood and fix that situation. Some rubber flaps to stop wood chips getting under there. Could cut and reweld the metal with more clearance but it’s better to keep the wood out of there altogether. Sweeper brushes are another option.

That little tank of gas can last me weeks LOL

The Foot as I call it? Once a log is balanced on the trailer I use it to pull them in all the way. It’s much easier than dealing with tongs at that point.
If this is the photo I was using it as a makeshift wedge. Crooked log wanted toll into the other one trapping the tong. I could wrestle it or finagle it. I chose finagle LOL

Yeah, good to meet all you guys. Our gtg motivated me to go buy a new (to me) saw. I bought an ECHO CS590 off of Fbook marketplace from a guy in Ct. I'm loving it. 28FB9E93-0A68-47B4-ABBF-ED42653BCEA0.jpeg

Id say as soon as that bin is filled. Gotta get moved to make room for some diagonal bins.

Congrats on the new to you saw. May it serve you well. Be careful of CAD (chainsaw acquisition disorder) though. It is very catchy. No vaccine either!
