36⁰ outside and calm. Mid-60's and sunny later.

I lit off a fire in the woodstove this morning. 63⁰ inside. I built the fire a couple of weeks ago. It won't be burning much. Lots of solar gain today.

Taking mom for a regular maintenance screening this morning. Then, a few errands.

Morning all. Not a lot of fog this morning but we have clouds drifting around. Outside burn ban in place. Small campfires allowed but nothing big. So I get up this morning and see a column of smoke rising up from just outside the downtown area. Near our community hall. No firetruck sirens so I guess it is all good.
WellNISS day at school today. I am going to learn(?) to make bread in my workshop. It should be fun. Too bad they didn't offer a sewing workshop. Well, it is better than the biking workshop (I don't ride a bike), hiking or rock wall climbing (my knees say no) or yoga (I will never get up from the floor) or gardening (again the knees say no). It should be a fun at work today.

Good morning, y'all. Hope y'all have a FABULOUS FRIDAY. 61° and cloudy, mid 70's for the high. Got to work an extra night, make a little OT. Time to cut the big 3 hr yard again, hope it's not too wet, just mulching this time, so a little moisture is fine.

Yesterday, Tom and I sorted logs at the salvage job until after dark.




Blew a coolant hose on the truck, so I patched that while Tom moved logs around.

Hammerhead20 So true. Over here, long weekends throughout the summer always seem to have rain after a dry and sunny week.

 

Good morning and happy Friday! Already 70F and sunny. Supposed to rain later. Worked half day yesterday due to dentist appointment in the afternoon so I had time to mow the front yard before music practice at church. Not sure about tonight - depends on the weather. I need to trim and mulch around trees plus pressure wash the deck. And put a battery in the car if time allows. Have a God day!

 

Morning all. Well the source of the smoke was the destruction of the largest burl in the world. Or at least that is what we would like to claim.

They are hoping to reclaim some it but it is a long process. We have another one on the outskirts of town at the entrance to our local forestry company. I think they were comparable in size but this one was found first.

WellNISS day was a success and I spent my afternoon making bread. Quickest bread I have ever made as it had to done in less than two hours. Apparently it turned out good as campinspecter had more than one bun with dinner.
