Slow and steady, the clean up is progressing. All the brushy limbs were cleaned up and moved out of the pasture. The sheep loved all the fresh green leaves. The brush pile is about 7' tall and 20' wide. Almost all of the firewood has been bucked up. Before and after picts below. Most importantly, the insurance claim has already gone through and the check has been cut. We are in a much better situation now, but it's been a rough trip. Before: After:
Here's the before picture. I couldn't get it to upload into the original post (?) ETA: Opening thread post fixed.
It’s in the first post, maybe took longer to upload… who knows. I had issues with a cell call during the same time you started this thread- not sure why- but I did cuss technology. I’ll fix your OP.
Did you have damage to property (building, house, vehicles etc) that not in the pics? Curious, cause I'm wondering what insurance covered based on the pic.
Tough way to get some wood on the ground. Guess it’s not always a blessing when nature does part of the work.
Ok, I remembered a pic of a tree taking out part of a structure in another thread, didn't realize this was the same.
That did some damage. Glad the insurance company is helping. Tough to loose your animals like that. Looks like a good bit of wood.
Thanks everyone for all the encouragement. It means a lot. BTW, Penn National Insurance is amazing. They paid me $1075 for cleaning up the tree, in addition to the damage to the barn. I wasn't expecting that.
