Along the lines of using used SUDT in a log splitter. The lube oil in my tractors (I use Rotella T6 with Nano-Borate additive, added), gets drained and then put in gallon jugs and used in the 4 stroke engines on the zero turns and the pressure washer as well as the standby generator and the cars. Only thing I don't do that with is my diesel pickup truck. Never had issue one with any of the engines and they are all nice and clean inside too. Having said that, the oil in the tractors gets changed every spring and usually it's just starting to color up.

Again, I would not hesitate using drained SUDT in a log splitter. It's excellent hydraulic oil.

Why not say it in that thread then instead of creating a separate thread? :picard:

If it’s good enough for everything you’re putting it in, it’s good enough for what it came from. Change the oil in the Kubota every 2 years then.

Considering my Kubota's have over 6K hours on them with no mechanical issues, I'd say my maintenance regimen works. I fully expect them to outlast me and have good resale value as well.
