All I can say is “wow”…

    does she eat fast.

holzforma G660. Installed the high output oiler in her tonight. She will now empty the oil tank at the same time as the fuel tank.

Some of that awesome German technology…

the 180 has a bog to it . As I suspected, the fuel screen was blocked.

I hope this counts. 2 saws pictured. My wife asked what I wanted to do for my birthday. I said that I wanted to cut a load of wood. It is finally melting out enough to get into some of the lower areas. It was a beautiful day to be out. IMG_6561.jpeg

Finally unloaded from Denny’s GTG. The 7900 and 353 are absent as they are currently being stuffed with xtra sausage. I need a bigger shelf apparently….

Got all my projects done I wanted to do on the saws.

the MS180 had a bog when you’d hit the throttle. I took the carb apart and the fuel screen was pretty plugged up with debris. Used carb cleaner (instant scratch locator) and it’s running pretty decent. This thing is cutting much better too since I filed the depth gauges down too.

the MS362C needed to have the winter plate removed and also flipped the winter plate on the carb for summer temps.

the Holzforma G660 needed to just be put into service. I immediately put in the high output oiler since so many seem to complain it doesn’t seem to be piling enough with the oem pump. It will now use a tank of oil to one tank of gas I must say, this thing is a beast. It’ll be nice to run once the big bore kit is installed.

Tuesday, I go start cutting this up. Which is why I got the G660. There may be a G444 clone or a 500i if this work continues. I can see the 362 being a limbing saw and a 72 cc class (462 or 500i) saw for the bucking work.

Starter side shows model number, which may be confused when only seeing the output side.

This is a local shop rate
Since they went to 100.00 an hour I've been brought dozens of saws mostly junk Stihls
But I did rescue some great 2 series
    257/262/268/266/272/281/288s
guy's have been buying new instead of fixing old saws
    echo's are popular locally
nobody I've talked to are particularly happy with Stihl or Husqvarna homeowner offerings.
I've had a few 291s with fried topends for some reason there's no aftermarket cylinder kits and they wanted like 400.00 to fix them at the Stihl dealers so guys bought new.
