Cali set the end of sale of new small engines last year. I've been buying what I can before it's too late. Just recently they set a date for the end of diesel big rigs. There aren't any alternatives yet, so we will see how that goes. If it wasn't for my work I'd be long gone from here.

I just don't think its feasible to eliminate all 2 stroke equipment. Sure for suburban homeowner with a neat tidy yard the battery stuff will do. What are landscapers to to? When i starts costing 3X as much to do the big yards owned by the wealthy it will be partially reversed. And construction ?

I am waiting to see the blowback when some region actually implements "no 2 cycle engines"

It is really going crazy with the electric engines. Methinks they are pushing too fast and too much.

Well.... that's the only way it works. Hard and fast. Kinda like the covid shot. It's the progressive way.

They will do the same thing contractors do on job sites. They will carry multiple batteries and chargers and will have batteries charging all the time.

You can't pack enough juice in a battery to compare to any other fuel source.

I believe Wisconsin just passed legislation against any ban on gasoline powered engines allowing citizens to have the choice. That's how it should be without having to resort to legislation.

I choose gas for what makes sense for me and battery for what makes sense me. There are a couple things I'll definitely go battery on. When I want to. String trimmer and hedge trimmer.

My teenage son said that HD was selling certain Ryobi zero turn battery mowers for under 1k dollars because no one was buying them. The battery charge is 6-8 hours for a very short run time. Battery replacement is $$$.
Theory is good, but tech isn't there.

Banning big rigs? I guess Cali thinks that everything people need and use just magically appears. :loco:

Billions of people will still be allowed to have them. What the point is, exactly?

Here is what I think is most effed up. They want to regulate vehicles, but they do absolutely nothing to the largest contributor of pollution.
Cargo /cruise ships, 1 of those ships creates way more pollution than all the cars in california. give or take but it is a lot.
the CARB board is not elected. California should not be allowed to set emissions anymore, they are off the deepend and in someones pocket.
If California was truly about cleaning the air, than ban those ships docking in their ports..
You know that is not going to happen. So lets go after the big rigs and independents.
Not enough coffee this am soorry
