Got a new Echo dealer up town which really makes it convenient. Nearest Stihl dealer is 30 miles away. Very impressed with Echo saws and they are a lot less expensive than a comparable Stihl. My only beef is stock, they all have cats in the mufflers but Echo does sell non cat mufflers for them or at least for now they do. I'll keep my 075 and my 090, not going anywhere soon.

I really like the two Echo homeowner’s saws I have. Dead reliable. I’m assuming you’re looking at some of their pro saws?

It's like going back 20 years in terms of pricing. Last December I got a echo cs620 that's supposed to be the pro version of the 590. $600 including sales tax. I'm impressed with it along with various string trimmers and blowers that are over 20 years old.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen a Cat in an Echo muffler. Not in a Stihl either. A few Huskies and Dolmar/Makitas have them

I would take Echo over Husky. Ive owned several of the same Echo model leaf blower and always reliable. They've gotten soaked in back of my PU and still work fine. Probably a homeowner level model too.

There was... a cat in my echo pole saw ppt2620h. That is the only echo product I own. The pole saw was much less expensive than the comparable stihl and I like a 2 stroke over the 4 mix engine. 0629211848b_Film2.jpg

You have to look closely on the new ones. It's a circular cat inside the muffler. Like I said, Echo offers a non cat muffler, least for now.

The issue with the cat in an echo muffle is, it causes the exhaust to run hot and it trends to melt the plastic shield around the muffler, one reason I bought the non cat muffler that Echo offers as a replacement. Actually thought about cutting the muffler apart and removing it and rewelding tit back together again but for 23 bucks the new non cat muffler was easier.

Maybe some of the homeowner models have them? Definitely not in the 4910/501, 620, 2511, or 7310

Been looking at the Echo trimmers pretty hard. I have an ancient Stihl FS66 that is about wore out. I tend to run scratcher blades more that a string head. Interestingly, my FS66 will mount a circular saw blade as well.

The echo equipment I have used felt heavy, but they are looking mighty good compared to the new stuff from the competing brands.

Last year echo honored the lifetime ignition coil warranty on my 1996 blower.

Some are a bit chunky. The 4910/501 are the lightest 50cc in class I believe.

The 8000 I have didn’t hold up like I had hoped. I cut a lot of wood though.

Does this dealer sell Bud Light? LOL

    Just messing with you.
Never owned or even ran an echo saw so really can't say anything good or bad about them.
I have enough saws to last my lifetime and no point in changing anything now.

I still have 3 Gray Echos that are perfectly usable. Saw a nice gray mag cased CS-510 for sale a week ago and it was all I could do to resist inquiring. I own more Echo branded 2 stroke stuff than any of the other brands I have. 501, 3400, 340, SRM2601, PPT2620H. The Swedes come a close second with the Germans bringing up the rear.

My cs400 had one, don't know/ remember if the 3510 does, but I don't think so.
