We got home last night from 2 weeks in Florida. It's 38 here at the moment. Have to see if I remember how to start a fire.....
34f here with a high of 47f predicted for the day. Stove still supplying plenty of heat from the two pieces, mulberry and locust, burned overnight.
31/68. Looks like the stove will stay active for several more days. My lawn could actually use a cutting due to the odd handful of warm weather days we have had. Nope, I simply refuse to mow in my snowmobile gear
Right on the cusp of not needing a fire here at 49. It’s supposed to be in the mid 60s later. Looks like Monday through next Sunday I’ll be having 1-2 small fires per day, then most likely the season is over for me. Daffodils are up everywhere. Maples are leafing out. Even the oaks are waking up. It’s been a good run since September 25th when I had my first fire of the season.
26 overnight. 32 right now. 68 inside. Sun is trying to break through the clouds. Cool breeze this morning. Oh yeah, another dusting of snow overnight. Just enough to see fox tracks in the driveway. Must have been why the lab kept on waking us up with his barking at all hours of the night!!!!
Back into the thirties and forties for a few days. Grabbed some well seasoned fireplace wood and got the boiler going again. Eighty degrees days this week. Now back to February.
