Well I got it all done this morning in the cooler weather. Ended up being just shy of a cord added to the stacks. My cutting buddy gives me a lot of oak so I always save the uglies and stuff I don't wanna stack for his owb. Not the little split scraps though - just haven't figured out a place for them yet.
I love me some maple! It's hard to tell younger silver and red just by the bark, but I'm leaning silver. Red at that age tends to get what I call a "shattered glass" effect - the bark develops furrows that go vertically and horizontally, especially around where the branches come out of the trunk. Nice haul, and nice yard too!
