I know some of you are still burning. My Burning season here is done.
Kinda curious what folks went through? Some had it much colder and some of us had it warmer. We had only a sprinkle of snow here but we had long stretches of (just cold enough) to burn, 30's and low 40's. I went just over 3 cord for the winter and a 1/2 cord of uglies for a 3-1/2 cord total. Time to clean out the stove. Getting into the 80's around here today. :dennis:

I was cutting dead barkless elm on and off this winter at my neighbor's house. I would top off the rack on the porch sometimes as I was bringing it home so I can't get an accurate read on usage.

Looks like 3.3 cords here, including some chunks back in the fall.

~3 cords were a mix of elm, ash, red maple, and apple. The rest was oak. Far less burning of oak because I made a conscious effort to burn lower BTU wood, given the warmer than average winter. Oak was burned overnight.

    Below average.

A little over 3 cords here. Normal is 4 cords.

A little over 3 1/2 here in central CT. About a half cord of white pine/spruce, and the rest was mostly a mix of cherry, oak, maple, apple, and elm, with a little black locust and ash thrown in.

    Probably close to 3 cords.
Not 100% sure on actual amount but know it was more than years past.

Glad it is over for a while. Time to regroup for next season.

My best guess is between 3 and 3 and a half cords.

Think I burnt around 2. I put even less in the basement than last year figuring I can always get more. Something not always possible in years past. Wanted to empty the basement for once. Nope, probably a face cord still down there. Darnit
I did go through twice as many fire starters.

Definitely less than usual/normal due to warmer than usual , snowless Winter.
My stacks were define with the word chaos this time around and just made the effort to use them all up . Even still, measuring what I have would take more work than it is worth as I still have little stashes spread all over. Due to an effort to not move firewood around even though nice well kempt stashes have been a value in the past.
Already opening windows as it is warmer outside than in.
Any much more warmer and the windows will be closed to keep the heat out.

than, kempt, my spell-checker doesn't like those two words today. WTF

About 5.5 cord for the house so far, but still have about 8 weeks of burn season left. Shoot, we got 8 inches more snow last night until now. I'll probably end up using 7 to 8 cord depending on how the spring will treat us. (when it gets here)

Just under 3 cords for me in Delaware. We stopped burning a week ago and I am planning on cleaning out the stove this weekend.

I burned about 7 cords this year in the house and another cord or two in the shop.

A couple cord. We had a very mild Autumn last year and didn’t really start burning much until the middle of November. Also was burning up some stuff that was punky so would not have used as much with good wood.
Shouldn’t take a lot of time to restock the wood shed for next year.

Exactly the same as WeldrDave . Three cords of splits and 1/2 cord of uglies. And rarely cold enough here to go 24/7. Although, we did use our oil furnace more than we wanted, as many days just needed a shot of heat in the morning and then we were good all day. A fire in the stove, even a small one, would've been too much.

Normal use for us is 4 to 4.5... we've done as much as 5.5 cords during colder winters.

My guess is around 9 cords burned. Started losing track later into the season as I was scrambling to find dry material.

2 1/2 cord. Maybe slightly over and a lot was low BTU stuff.
Usually 3 to 3 1/2 cord. Seemed like an easy winter here.

3 3/4 cord all cottonwood. House stayed around 72 to 75 all winter. Was hot for me but Cindy and my Dad liked it.

    I'm thinking 4 1/2 ish here.

Thanks to mild temps (overall) and the new Kuuma of course.
