Still cold yesterday here but supposed to get up to 58° today but raining.
I built a set of fake shutters for the cottage per orders yesterday inside the shop since it was cold out and will paint them today inside during the rain.
Her Majesty has decided I need to do the whole of both houses now (22 windows).
    Sigh…

Got the tree cleaned up. The roof of my old barn took a beating.. need to patch it up once the wind dies down. Or just demolish the dang thing.

Power is out at the local water pump house and may be days before it is restored. I filled up some barrels to flush toilets and have plenty of drinking water on hand. Neighbor has a well of we need to take showers and stuff. Minor inconvenience compared to some who has tornados an hour south of here.

    Nice job!

Had a good thunder/lightning storm go thru last night. Produced a bit of rain and some good winds but it raced thru so was gone after 20 minutes. I'll have to keep an eye out on social media to see if there was a strike somewhere close. There was one batch of thunder that sounded really weird so wondering if it was a combo of thunder and strike (and growing up in KS, I've heard all kinds of thunder, this was just strange). Weather app said there was lightning strike a little over 2 miles from me but I don't know if it counts all lighting or air to ground only.

More snow left up north than I'd hoped, but it was a great day regardless. Bonavista Bay was chock full of pack ice.

Hardly any snow left at home, with some pack ice but not as much.

Looks like you had sunshine for part of the day. That ice looks very permanent.

I think it was some sort of fast infection. Very tragic. He is missed.

    Seems it’s been a year, plus a few days…
I was just talking to someone this morning about folks that loved their fast saws and kept them spotless- his name came to mind.

Left on Mar 8 for a load to Linden CA. It’s now been 26 days I’ve been gone.

looking forward to being home tomorrow as son as I dump this boom lift.

no, I’m not normally gone this long.

Pebble’s behavior is showing it too.

Snagged a bunch of pallets here at the rest area too. They’ve been sitting there all winter.

Yesterday when I went out I could not help but notice a hint of green showing in spots. That usually means in 2 or 3 weeks the lawn mowers will be humming.

I think you are right on that and it's hard to like that. Not looking forward to cutting season. But I push mow 2 lawns and ride a 3rd so I'm definitely biased on this hah.
Work had me install a door prop alarm, employees are not exactly thrilled they can't leave cooler door open anymore. (soon to be freezer doors as well)
This alarm I put in is LOUD. I love it -only has taken 7.5 years for them to do something about excessive door opening.
It's funny that they now care about keeping it closed.
