    Spring is here...Yeah ....Right.

Friday we had 6" of snow.....Melted off by mid afternoon.
Saturday morning another 6" of snow....Mostly melted by late in the day.

    Pictures are Saturday morning

March snow is rare in this country....Having it this late is even more rare.....
Two days in a row is totally off the charts.......

Keeping the two nut burners busy keeping the shack warm though....

Quick, easy upgrade from Fidium's 1 gig to 2 gig fiber internet service this morning.

Hooked up the new Asus Rapture GT-AX6000 router, called Fidium, got switched over to 2Gb (will take effect later today), got transferred over to tech support, gave them the new router's MAC address, then they had me reboot the ONT then the router and good to go.

Will report back with speeds after 2Gb goes into effect, supposed to be later today.

Still cold enough here to keep the stove running on low heat all the time. Been in the mid 30's at night and mid 40's during the day pretty much every day. Slow spring here.

Still below freezing at night here. Amy likes it warm so the stove just runs on the lowest heat setting. So do the cats and the dog...

All 'greek' to me. If I had my way, we'd still have rotary phones. I really dislike all that electronic junk. We have had high speed fiber for years here and I let my wife deal with all that junk.

Guess the difference is, I'm older and you aren't.

Thanks everyone for the birthday greetings.

So what am I doing today? What else , geeky things. Repairing one of the grandkids computers, Building one for my daughter, tweaking all the network adapters in all the computers in the house for max performance to take full advantage of the new 2Gb fiber speed and probably stream some shows on Acorn TV tonite. Has British/Aussie/NZ/Canadian series. A lot of murder mystery series (Lori's fave) we've never heard of, let alone seen before. Some good, some corny but mostly entertaining enough to binge.
Oh and bring in what are hopefully the last bags of pellets for the season. With the mid-50's to 60* temps forcasted for next week, should be able to turn the stove off during the day. Should be able to be down to 1/2 a bag a day for the next couple weeks.

Hey B, just noticed this. How are they working out for ya?

Too many trees here unfortunately-havnt been officially checked but once the trees fill in there are spots that get great sun but it changes all day. My brother in Kingston had a company check his spot-not enough direct sun either.
