5 different places? My local TSC had a bunch last weekend. Doesn't mean they didn't get sold out since then. Also, knowing nothing about breeds, they may not have been what you were looking for.

2 tsc’s one only had straight run the other had none. A blue seal store had none and an agway store had none. The family owned farm store that I got them from had a line of 15 people when I got there before they opened, first come first served could not order or have them hold for you.

That's funny, I don't have Chickens, (wish I did) but ours had 6 of those metal water basins with chicks and heat lamps yesterday when we went in for Dog food. :)

Was at TSC last night. They had chicks but were mainly meat birds and straight run.
Also had 4 lonely ducks. I would of gotten the ducks for our creek, but I'm sure they wouldn't last too long with all the predators around

Hey guys, beginner here with chickens. Looking at a coop from an Amish builder, and I'm curious if you guys think this opening to the nesting boxes is way too small? Seems like it'd be a tight fit into it but the boxes themselves are good size. What say you? Easy fix if it is too small but just wondering.

What is the gap size? I'm kinda thinking they are OK, but agree, can open em up more if need be.

Not sure on gap size, I didn't even notice it til after leaving the dealer and looking at the pics. I'll take my chances with it. Maybe it helps the hens feel more secure in their boxes?

Years ago my mom was looking at a bench that an amishman built. She asked him how many people could sit together on it, he looked at her and said 3 of you and 4 of me.

My dad and I just started to laugh. My mom and the amishman just looked at us like we went :loco: . I believe he didnt mean anything by the comment, just was his way of explaining. I have to admit, I have used that comment a few times to explain space proportions. :D
