Wow, thank God we are missing that. Been snowing here for the last 2 days and we have about 2" on the ground. Temps are just high enough to melt lost of it. C'mon SPRING !!!!!!
Winter storm Sage, was a non-event here. After a day of heavy rains, we ended up with an inch of snow this morning. However, there's multiple feet of snow within an hours drive.
just a bit north and east of Keene. I was surprised when power was restored by thursday evening. 36" + snow got cleared off the truck through the storm, settled to about 24" on the ground by Wednesday evening. It's melting away fast. Can't even run a plastic walmart snow shovel without digging up the yard.
The first pic is about 2pm on 3/14/23. I had to take it because I was fascinated that the snow was sliding and cracking by itself. The second is about 5 pm (I measured and it was 24" at that time). We got 6" more thru the evening. This was taken on 3/15/23, about 3 pm. If it had snowed any more I would have been shovelng snow awau from the house in order for the snow blower to throw it over the mounds. As it was, I was strategically angling the chute to go around.
"HERE COMES THE SUN" !!!!!!!!! Red sky at night, sailors delight..............red sky in morn, sailors be warned...... Later today we are supposed to get 4-6" of wet heavy snow turning to freezing rain and then rain plus 40-60 mph winds.
As of 620 PM...A Special Weather Statement was issued for portions of Chittenden, Washington, and Addison Counties in VT. A strong storm was located over Huntington, moving south at 20 mph. We got hit around 4 pm. Lost power for a very short time. FB friends reported limbs on the road. I don't go out on the roads unless I have to. Big drop in the temperature. Now 64 and the weekend is predicted to be 40 to 50 F and very damp.
