Next door to my BL storage down the street. We got the okay to take them. Ash and red maple. MS400 made quick work of it. IMG_2841.JPG IMG_2842.JPG IMG_2844.JPG IMG_2845.JPG IMG_2846.JPG I didnt think the ash would be as good as it was. Played teeter totter bucking with the maple top. Couldnt dislodge the last section. If you look very carefully at the first pic you can see my stack of BL rounds in the distance. IMG_2848.JPG IMG_2849.JPG IMG_2850.JPG He'll get his tractor with trailer on the side street and we'll get the rounds out soon. Maybe 50' to the road. Way too muddy to go through the yard and into the woods. Both of us taking it.

Nice day and it was fun, but it was very squishy with the few inches of rain we got during the week. The water table is very high in that area.

Looks like another winner Brad. I’m super surprised by that ash too. Whenever I see mushrooms on ash bark I automatically write it off as too far gone. Maybe I should start doing test cuts before moving on.

I wasnt super dense but better than i expected. The saw spat out chips instead of powdery dust. Ive been wanting to get these for a while now as this will be the third year ive stored BL there. I will only take the ash. He'll get the maple and maybe some of the ash.

Yup, don't assume...I've cut plenty of "shroomy" ash and much of it was still pretty solid.

Ive cut ash on the ground that looked nasty and rotten. Aside from about a 2mm layer on the outside theyd be rock solid. Its some deceptive stuff thats for sure.

Nice score Brad! That ash looks really good considering how many look around CT these days.
