Truth Spoken...... “Sex,” I was pretty sure, meant whether you were a boy or girl, and “sin” made Tante Jans very angry, but what the two together meant I could not imagine. And so, seated next to Father in the train compartment, I suddenly asked, “Father, what is sexsin?” He turned to look at me, as he always did when answering a question, but to my surprise he said nothing. At last he stood up, lifted his traveling case from the rack over our heads, and set it on the floor. “Will you carry it off the train, Corrie?” he said. I stood up and tugged at it. It was crammed with the watches and spare parts he had purchased that morning. “It’s too heavy,” I said. “Yes,” he said. “And it would be a pretty poor father who would ask his little girl to carry such a load. It’s the same way, Corrie, with knowledge. Some knowledge is too heavy for children. When you are older and stronger you can bear it. For now you must trust me to carry it for you.” - from The Hiding Place: The Story of Corrie Ten Boom We are asking our children to carry loads that are way too heavy for them. They should not be forced, as children, to see and feel the world through the lens of adults. Innocence is worth protecting and worth fighting for. We need to do our part as teachers, parents and caregivers to carry certain things for them until they are old enough to bear the load.
As far as I know it’s ok to hunt on any privately owned land without permission unless it’s properly posted. Properly posted is a sign every x number of feet around the entire property. I do believe asking the land owner is the correct route.
No, you're still trespassing...all the signs just make it easier for a lawyer to win a case against you...or get the landowner off when he shoots you.
your not trespassing here during hunting season unless land is posted. Has to be that way or state would have fewer hunting fees because no land to hunt on.. happy birthday clemsonfor
He's been on the forum in the last couple of days - maybe not specifically this part of the forum, but here.
You are correct, I misspoke. I knew that so I'm not sure why I said that - I probably lost a couple of words between my brain and my fingers.
Whew! No more filling the Woodchuck in the shop with the good stuff and wandering off to take care of chores while it warms up from 35°. Be warned. If you walk into my shop today unannounced, it’s now pantsless day in this kingdom. And it ain’t pretty! Lenny Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah, it's different in Maine, compared to pretty much anywhere else. Most states, you are trespassing, sign or no sign of it's private property. Now, I was told that most private land in Maine isn't posted as " no trespassing" because it's not kosher/a duck move to post land. Thank you all for the birthday wishes! My wife and I met our elderly friends that live a couple cities over, out for dinner. I had an awesome prime rib, and a few jack and cokes, then we went home and my wife got me a nice sipping tequila, which I had 1 glass of over a big square ice cube. I was so full from the prime rib I couldn't even think about eating dessert. I had a piece of birthday cake that my wife got for me to bring to work. A half sheet carrot cake. And now it's Thursday, and work again. Supposedly a big snow storm coming tonight through tomorrow. I will bring my laptop home and WFH Friday possibly.
