100_1431.JPG 100_1433.JPG pumpkin.jpg Ok, we had went to a Halloween party last Pm at my son's home. Everyone had to carve a pumpkin. This is my "attempt".

That's cool, reminds me of the Face of Boe from Doctor Who.

We went basic. But the effect is there. Looks great especially since I unscrewed the front porch light.

The kids are in the school musical "The Wiz" thus the scarecrow and the musical pumpkin.

Well, we did three with the kids (each one took around 15-20 minutes), then I spent a whole 10-15 minutes to carve my own......

It was my first attempt at chainsaw carving, using my 372XP and my trusty old climbing saw, my vintage Stihl 015, using a round from one of the hemlocks we cut down on Sunday
Not perfect, but not too bad for less than 15 minutes.....

No pics of my kids, but the big girl brought home a recipe, from school, for the seeds. Simple and not too bad, pretty much salt and heat. Wife and little girl not too fond of them, big girl and me, we like. Spread them on a cookie sheet, salt and 350* for 20 min. not too bad.

Waiting for the old lady to whip up a batch. Last year we did regular, five spice, and Mexican.

Wonder what ranch and garlic pumpkin seeds would taste like? We cleaned a bunch up, may try 'em out....

That's my style. Basic pumpkin...only takes a couple minutes. I have 3 pumpkins to carve if I want to. Have the day off and a 2 year old that's never carved a pumpkin.

In the top pic, the chain looks loose on the Husky. Can't tell. That's a sweet looking carving.

My son is 21 months so I was in the same boat. Had a few minutes to slice and dice.

Good eye! It was loose, that's right before I sharpened it up and tightened it, it was dull and loose from the job we did on Sunday.

I used that to get the rough shape of the pumpkin, and the 015 (which if you look has a loose chain also!) To do the detail work.....

Already have several orders from my mother and my sister in law for those pumpkins!!

I don't know, unless you are a beaver, those wooden pumpkins won't make a good pie!
