Phew, barn cat finally came home tonight! Sure she was out doing stray cat stuff night before last but she must have hunkered down somewhere last night in the sand storm hurricane tornado thing.

Once I caught one of our pups that chewed up my highlighter pen. She told me she didn't do it but her beard and forearms and even chest were pink   ( I used to have a picture of it and might have posted it here but it's gone now. Either way you can picture it :) )

Timber booted Mom from her spot. She's really adjusting well in week 2 here with us
    IMG_20230221_223449832.jpg

They were snuggling, with Timber leaning on her. Well, Timber got too heavy.

I took Hayden in to the vet for the snip snip surgery this am. I just want evening to go smoothly.

Roscoe didn't take long to mess up that cone. We ended up having to buy it.

He's home now. Our vets just sell you the cone. We ordered a "comfy cone" and it's so much better. I already swapped it out for the hard plastic one.

I've never seen where you didn't have to buy the e collar after surgery.

Has Hayden given you the ole “stink eye” yet or is he still a little tender? . Might not want to turn your back on him for a while :faint:

Just trying to get a smile, we spay and neuter all of the dogs/cats we have had, keeps things a lot more calm and peaceful!

He's dealing. This is the comfy cone. Gotta tell you, these are the best type of e collars ever made. Those clear ones suck. This dark non see through material actually allows them to judge where they are at. Plus this attaches to itself by Velcro. Super easy to put on and taking off of easy for humans, but not so much for the dog. He gets a nice shaded covering to let him sleep better too

IMG_20230225_133942220.jpg He wants to play with Timber, especially since she's still new to the family. Timber wants to play even more.

Jeeze oh cripes already! :hair: Enough torture for Hayden! Bad enough he has to wear that but now you post it on the web? Bordering on abuse or neglect of some type there Horkn !!!!! :headbang:

Cook him a brat or two and tell him it's from a pal in the U.P.

Thinking back decades ago, when the dogs we had went through "the procedure" we never had a cone for them. Is this required now a days?

If they don't lick their stitches and not require to take them back to the emergency room, then no, they don't. The rest of us that don't need extra drama, use a cone.

Firewood inspection Sunday. Lots of boxes to check, user requirements, specifications, tolerances, hoping for a full approval.

    Great pics Ohio

We just crossed the one year mark yesterday with Roscoe. He’s turned out to be the sweetest most affectionate pet I’ve ever had or been around. It’s not at an annoying level, we’ve actually been there before with a rescue Weimaraner.

He wants to be a lap dog sometimes. This attempt landed partially on the ottoman.
