Customer of mine has a new in box never seen gas Stihl Ms260 (pretty sure its not the "Pro" model) that ive been trying to pry from his hands for a couple years. I have a job to quote and jokingly i said ill take the saw in part trade. He seemed interested.
I know a new MS261 is roughly $700 with tax. What kind of price FHC?

Stripped down model? I'd personally only offer 250.00. Of course anything is only really worth what someone would pay for it. Sometimes on tree work I'll wait for the job to be completed and cash in hand, then I'll say you can have some of this back for that saw that you really don't need. Works more than you would think at that moment when it is time to collect.

The only reason I ever use my 260Pro is because it hasn’t been used in a long time. $250 sounds about right for a new one.
