These are like the ones I remember. Mom used to make all of our bread so used a lot of flour. I remember visiting some relatives and that is the only time I ate store bought bread. I did not like it.
The bottom left one that is stacked is very familiar to me. I think my grandparents (1905/7) that went through depression may have used them to make pillows or pillow cases?
Id almost bet they had commercials for them when they came out. That's assuming tvs came before the microwave. Way before my time. Lol
I remember Sizzlean commercials in the 70's, big selling point was it could be microwaved. But, like above, no commericals for the microwave itself. LOL, I still tell the dog and cat to "move over bacon" when they are in my way
Back in the “radar range” era I remember them! That was a long time ago. We never had a microwave until the later 80s at my house.
I remember making meatloaf and instead of the oven my mother would put in the microwave for like 2.5 hours Ya, that's what I liked to make when my cook nights came up. Still love it. We each had a job every evening. It rotated cook/set table unset table/dishes and day off.
Isn’t it quicker to make meatloaf in the oven? I’m not a fan of the microwave unless it’s a can of tomato soup or something like that. Wife uses it more.
Random Obs: Plumbers are among the few group of people that wash their hands before going to the bathroom.
Machinists too. Relieving oneself with oil/grease and metal slivers on your hands is like playing a game of Russian roulette
