Just put in a new to me oil pump on the old Echo. Seemed like a good reason to test it, that the cases are staying sealed and the tune is right, on some punky maple.
Left this junk section of the tree where it lied. XS362c FTW. I changed the air filter today and the chain kept spinning at idle. I thought maybe my clutch springs were worn. The first and only time I have had to do an mtronic reset on the saw. Worked great and felt like it was choochin gooder.
It weighs as much as an anchor and its not very fast but it's got a sound that modern high reving saws can't match. Fun to watch it bounce around at idle.
Spent time over the weekend grinding chains. Today I’m hand filing dads .325 semi-chisel loops and gullet/raker maint.
I got that too. But I don't need another saw , oh wait a Husky. I definitely don't need one of those.
