Thanks . I was able to take a good look at it this morning and it is really nicely done. It's "Heavy" weighing just under 600lbs. , a really nice basket for the fire that has some flames plasma cut into it and everything is 1/4 steel with some decent looking welds. Won't have to buy another one anytime soon. Next is a good bath and seasoning to get it ready; weather for that this weekend doesn't look the best so have to see what I can do. I will get a few more pictures as things move forward.
I will try not to. Still doing a little homework before I get into it. Next is a good bath followed by a fire to season it and get it ready. I want to do this right and take my time. Work and cold weather coming up might keep me from getting this done over the weekend but have to wait and see. First cook will be an inexpensive piece of something in case it turns into a fire ball. I'm anxious to get it going but need to take my time as well.
Been out of the game this winter with health issues that began late summer/early fall but feeling better and coming around so should be back in it shortly Air fryer has been in use big time though
Same here over 10 years ago. First cook was burgers on the Green Egg and were so over smoked we almost couldnt eat them
First time I ever cooked on my old smoker was chicken ; tasted like it ran out of the barn when it was on fire. I have learned a little since then but lets hope what I learned is enough.
Congrats! And Ironically, I was driving through Farmington, CT yesterday and saw a trailer like that hauling a bunch of smokers.
Thanks , the trailer load when they dropped mine was certainly a sight to be seen. Hey you need to figure out a time and cut a load or two with a couple of buzzsaws.
