Sounds pretty sketchy! So many police out there working above board and truly serving the public. Only takes one like the one you dealt with to ruin the public’s perception. I like the videos where police pull someone over. The defendant thinks they can use their position or authority to get off without a ticket. The police doesn’t go for it, and issues the ticket anyways. The defendant becomes belligerent and starts threatening the officers job. I love it!

Perfect day for cleaning up dead/down EAB ash poles in the woods at work...man I'm going to miss this stuff when its gone...its already down, 99% of the branches broke off at the trunk, bark is loose and falls off in 1 or 2 big pieces as soon as you move the log, and its so dry that when tossing rounds into the truck it sounds like someone just bowled a strike at the bowling alley!
It was pretty much dark by the time I got home and thought to take a pic, so not the best pic ever, but you get the gist of it...that's not solid wood, there is part of a large square bale in the middle too. IMG_20230218_183410425.jpg

Absolutely beautiful day, so I had the stepson in the skid steer putting them on the splitter with tongs and broke them down to manageable chunks. Don’t think we got through half of them when I figured the pickup had enough.

Thanks... Theres a few hedges in there... I just have to pick out as I get into the piles... May sneak over there at some point tomorrow to get another round... But every day that I can and that I'm permitted I'm planning... Its just so easy pickings 10-15 ft from the truck... But those darn thorns are the killers... Already have to tips into my thumb through good leather gloves...

A couple dump trailer loads of mostly elm. A friend had the tree service take them down. We sawed them up and took it to someone who wants to deal with elm. Hint hint- he has a nice woodsplitter!

Definitely...I realized yesterday that there is already so much wood on the ground in this lil patch of woods that there is no reason for me to need to drop a single tree to replenish the stacks this year

We sawed some once, smelled like a wet ashtray. It is some hard wood. Makes great lumber. Golf heads used to be made from it

I didn’t, but I did drive slower today. Didn’t hit stops once.
