Well, this just sorta of happened.
My wife saw this thread Saturday morning. I had her reach out.
    Screenshot-171353.png

This Pati lady facilitated this double foster hand off, otherwise the original owners were going to take her to a shelter or possibly put her down. Pati's neighbor John, was fostering her, but he wouldn't be able to take care of her forever with his home and work schedule. She was in her crate far too long

So we set up a meet and greet with her at John's home, outside on a walk. We walked her, talked with John, and then John had Timber go with us in my truck to our house to see our yard, and introduce her to Hayden. After Timber played in the yard a bit, we brought out Hayden on the other side of the fence. They met that way, walked them up and down the fence a few times and it went well. Once they were comfortable, I bright Hayden into the fenced yard, on a leash. That went great. They wanted to play. So we watched them play and everything went well.

So the decision was made. She's part of the family.

    Now at our house.

We have been looking to add another pup to the family since Badger passed away about 2 years ago. Hayden has been wanting a buddy.

Now that my yard is fenced in, this just all worked out.

I thought she has a great name, it's definitely fitting considering the FHC thing.

Nice...congrats! Looks like a good pup...what was the issue with that they would consider putting her down over?

Previous owner ( not Pati or John, those 2 are saints) didn't have time for her. In a crate 14 hrs a day. Her teenage kids didn't have/ make time for her. I know, those are NOT excuses.

Story is her original owners were both cops, and they got divorced.

That's a lot for only 5 years. Most people suck. FHC'ers excluded, as this group is as good as it gets.

That cycle is over and she'll never need to worry about her home/ owners again.

That purply colored picture is the glow from my saltwater aquarium.

Both are sleeping well right now. Hayden wants to play, but it's not constant play time. Lol.

Beautiful pup, glad you could get Hayden a friend and save Timber from a bad situation at the same time.

Awesome , nothing like a buddy for Hayden.
We have two dogs ourselves ; they can be a pain in the azz sometimes but we wouldn't have it any other way.

Sometimes they are a little rough with each other but they would truly be lost without one another.

Lol, there's some in the shade of my house. It was 51° yesterday.

These two, it's constant play time. Today I'm back to work, so the day duty is on my wife.

My wife apparently was adopted on Valentine's Day, so it seems guy were adopted a dog the day before.

I can't not like a pet named Timber. Had a cat with that name for many years, also a rescue.
