I can see why it didn’t stand up! That’s quite the experience when they do. A bit unsettling actually.

Tis rowdy indeed. A good 40% better than factory if that gives you an idea. Huskihl has these things figured out.

    Good looking saw!
How do you like the max flow air filter? Are those husky flip caps?

The filters easy to get at and blow off, my saw came with it so I don’t know what the other ones are like…i did put husquvarna flip caps on because the oil cap would always require a tool to open so these are much better

Thats funny. I know of a couple here in Connecticut that i could make offers on. Anyone know if Stihl changed the look of those in later years of manufacturing or does a circa 1985 (last year manufactured) one look the same as an early year model?

Are the tanks with heated grips made out of a different material than normal? The color is a little different and it’s kinda translucent, as in you can see the fuel level through it. ( can kinda see it in second picture) Was able to try it out a little bit out back of the dealer.

Not really sure why I stopped in because I’ve never been impressed with the dealer, but apparently some unseen force thought I needed a CAD fix. Sticker price was $350, I got it for $300 even out the door. They also had a used husky 55 for $200 that was intriguing. Might have to stop by again in a couple weeks or so and look at it a little closer. Firewood season is coming to an end for most “normal” people, maybe pick it up for $125-150

Great buy. Some older years had that semi-see though tank. Not specific to the G's.

97086798-4731-4F28-85C6-DCADE500FB1D.jpeg Kinda hard to get a good picture. So is it a December 2000 or a 2004 model?

Ten years of faithful service. It's only ever asked for a couple of screws that rattled loose.
