    Walnut is just mediocre firewood IMO. Burns ok but not real hot and leaves a good bit more ash than my typical woods. I take it all for my parents if it's available. 1st option is to mill it if possible.

    Ditto the Wolverine. Got some from my co-worker's farm a few years ago. Dried quickly and burned well, but lots of ash. Served it's purpose for late heating season burning.
