Anyone have any experience with the Echo top handle saw in gasoline?

Cat is removed. Left the USDA spark screen intact. I've read the cat makes so much heat, it melts the muf cover. It's a well built saw too. I read all the Echo's are built in Japan (like the Tanaka's and the Makita's used to be). I really like the drive sprocket oiler, no idle mess and it's adjustable too. Checked all the fasteners, all tight. Good QC. I will fab a set of bucking spikes as I don't like getting up against the crankcase with limbs and it's a pruning saw anyway.

Finally, it ships with an Echo branded (Oregon) greaseable bar and Oregon chain (bought 2 extra loops) and an extra bar), so I don't have to replace it with a Bailey's replaceable nose.

I suspect that at some point, everything will have cats.

The Echo is a mirror copy of the now defunct Tanaka, I had one years ago and sold it and of course lost my butt on it (like everything else I sell)...lol
