Had the day off, we are working a 9/80 shift now and get every other Friday off. I got up, sharpened three chains for the MS 261 and went scrounging. I got a bunch of nice ash, a nice round of really heavy sugar maple and a few rounds of limb red maple. I need all three chains because the wood is dirty and most is on the ground.
Sometimes I take a day off and still don’t get ash Nice load of wood and the best firewood saw there is.
I was looking forward to getting some ash tomorrow, but as it turns out I need to be on a site for a building shutdown.
Cant think of a better way to spend a day off. Looks like you and the 261 had fun. You going back for more? Ran a tank through my 261 today myself.
This is what I wanted to do this week but work didn't let up. Glad you got out cutting! Beautiful wood too!
Correct. We get every other Friday off. We will see how that goes. I am a salaried engineer supporting testing that goes 24-7, for months
I've never seen that for salaried positions. I already put in 9+ hr days in my salaried Purchasing position, but I don't automatically get every other Friday off, without taking PTO.
Great double bonus.....time off and profitable wood score. Makes days off feel better than just a day off!
