Good morning. Still having a warm January in these parts. Teens in morning and low to mid 30s during the day.

 

Good morning, members.

Actually below freezing at 30⁰ and overcast. Upper 30's with a bit of sun, later this afternoon. More rain/snow mix late tomorrow through Monday.

Grocery shopping on tap for today. I'll be picking up soup ingredients, among regular items.

I hope to go for a walk. Non-paved areas has a coating of snow. Haven't been able to state that hardly at all this winter.

Morning all. Rain I think for most of today. We are headed out after church to go and see our daughter and SIL

Good afternoon, y'all. Hope y'all continue to have a SUPER SATURDAY. It was about 47° when I left this morning and made it to 49°, cloudy, gray day, chance of rain this evening/tonight. Had a busy morning at work, mechanic was already here at 6:30AM. Finally got the wrinkles ironed out, hoping for smooth sailing the rest of the shift.

Good evening! 30F and dark. Halftime at girls basketball game. We're up 58-3. The first half was almost a shutout. Filled the roadside stand last night and this morning. Need to put bundles out tomorrow and make more. Spread a load of wood chips this morning. Have a God day!

My main wood mover is down. Wheel bearing gave it up. I'll be off to replace it. Starting at HF.

I'll move wood later to the deck, ahead of the storm. Then, a pot of soup with cornbread later.

Good afternoon, y'all. Hope y'all are having a SPECTACULAR SONDAY. In the 40's today and rain. Last day of 7AM-7PM. Got to bring wood in when I get home. Nothing else planned, just spend some time with family.

Afternoon all. We made it safely to our daughter's late night. No snow and not much rain. Woke up to a gorgeous sunrise over the Pacific ocean. Went for a walk along the water front. Place is called Ucluelet on the west coast of Vancouver Island. Nice this time of year. A bit crazy in the summer with so many tourist. We will be heading back later this afternoon after the football game.

Glad y'all had a safe trip, doesn't look like many roads available to get there.

 

One road and for the last 6 years they have been "fixing and updating" a 5 km ( 2+ mile) section so it is either one lane alternating through there or posted times of closures so they can work on the road with no vehicles. It has been a mess and has created issues for any tourist and local trying to get back and forth. It is supposed to be finished this coming fall.
Ucluelet and Tofino are small rural coastal towns which blow up with mega tourists each summer. Each tourist who drives over the existing road usually has white knuckles after contending with the corners and narrow road. Middle of the night is the best time to drive the road.
