That's about 3 miles more than I'd want to take that load!

Is your niece available for hire? My 15 year old niece can't be bothered with such trivial matters. It would interrupt her screen time and socialization. :headbang:

The racks really make a difference. Limbs wedge in there good. The back horizontal bar is hinged so makes unloading real easy. I wont drive on a highway with loads like that,

Her & her 16y/o sister help when they can & are great help but they are usually so busy that it’s very infrequently that they are around to help.

My 20 y/o nephew on the other hand had the week off from the factory he works at, I told him I could use some help cutting wood, he didn’t even hesitate to say no. I knew the answer before I asked but just asked in front of the family for entertainment value. Apparently $20 hour & being fed dinner isn’t enough for some physical labor.

I have no doubt that it works great. I'm just glad you're the driver and not me! I'd probably get a ticket 50' out of the driveway.

An extra pair of hands, even small ones, can be a big help. Enjoy the time with your nieces!

Worst job was a a few Summers ago when i had to take down a big spruce. It was out of town and i had no local dumping permit for that town. Drove 35 minutes one way to the local one on the back roads.
PITA but figured that into the quote.

Ran out of dailylight, did not want to be back in this holler in the dark. Pprobably another truckload of white oak left. The ground is soft and the road is muddy and rutted.

Last of the downed white oak, I thought the ball root was going to roll down at me and brought the pole saw just in case it got hairy. All went well. Added to the board for 2030.
