My wife has spotted cookie rounds of various woods and sizes for big dollars on Etsy.com. Think selling bark and cookies for art is similar to "pet rocks."
At my place I let the crafters choose from a wide variety of bark. It costs more, but you get to mix and match texture and color.
Ha ha. I’m gonna wait until they lower the price to free Then I’m going to craft that bark into heat for my house!
It used to be Craigslist and now it's Facebook Marketplace.....kook sellers are everywhere. And they just want to get you! Some beauties I've come across: People selling trees. As in, the tree is standing and they want you to pay them for the privilege of cutting the tree down and hauling it away A person who was selling white pine rounds for $50.00 each; they said it was a bargain for woodworkers. A guy who had a gnarly yard walnut tree with all kinds of metal in it and he wanted $5000.00. "Don't try and low ball me because I know what this tree is worth". A guy who had over 30 oak trees on his property, some overhanging his house. He wanted a tree service to cut them all down, remove everything and meticulously clean up for the generous remuneration of $0.00. This is breaking news, however, I'm soon going to be a billionaire by selling a a revolutionary product: Dehydrated Water. You just add water. It's great for the car, your boat, your emergency kit etc. Don't leave home without dehydrated water.
The Woodland Cottage II A Natural Fairy House Faerie House - Etsy My daughter uses splitter junk to make fairy houses like this. I should sell some for that kind of money!
I seen signs up last weekend in the next town over from us that said something along the lines of "Buying Black Walnut trees, even your yard tree" 1st time I've seen that one!
