34/70 unfortunately not burning anything but NG. Insert stove top connector came loose and I need an extra set of hands to help with what needs done, plus I need to be able to get on the roof to let the liner drop a smidge and we have snow on the roof. Plan is Monday if we have the sun on Sunday as predicted. 24 tonight and 19 tomorrow night so sure would be nice to have the fire but grateful that is not our only heat.

New Years weekend all three roads out of our area were flooded. I read four books that weekend! My son and I had to dig a ditch to keep the water from going in our back porch. Since then the rain has slowed down enough that flooding isn't an issue. Until this weekend, looks like we are going to get dumped on for three days straight. Lots of places around here are in worse shape, so can't complain too much!

Just filled the burn chamber with Ash splits. The dogs came back in quicker this morning. 0D4C2244-4738-49DF-A0F2-03143BF659A2.png

Temps yesterday were in the mid 50's and dropped to upper 20's last night. Got a fire going around 5 pm and let it go out over night.
House was 64 this morning when I awoke. Not much of a hustle going on today so I got my coffee up to temp before the stove.

Good Morning. Winter has returned here; it's 19. We have a nice fire going and the coffee's on. It's 19 out and 70 in with red oak and beech fueling the burn. Wishing everyone a peaceful weekend.

It's 30 out with a very brisk wind making it feel like 21. I wanted to get some wood today but not sure if it'll happen yet.

75 inside. Burning a small split of oak and a chunk of pine.

Back in teens this morning but the good news is it appears we will have sunshine today!!! We are not used to that much brightness at this time of year.

39 I’m burning Red Oak. After a work week in the upper 50’s I’m feeling cheated.

Too cold to want to go outside for too long, but not cold enough to freeze up the mud.

Boiler finally worked through all the lumber scraps and is back to burning a mixed bag of cord wood.
