Got my wife a set of welding gloves to load the stove, she hasn’t gotten burned yet!

Chaz had gotten me a pair of gloves that goes up to the elbow. This year he has split the wood smaller to make it easier for me. And he always make sure I got enough wood for the day. Thank you Chaz.

Likewise I have girlfriend sized pieces for when I'm away. Shorts, blocks, and other easy handling size stuff. I appreciate she likes keeping the fire going, but it always seems like she burns a lot more that I do. :hair: And, she uses Ove-Gloves to prevent burns.

I've noticed it easy to burn wood when you're hanging out in close proximity to the stove. The same amount of wood used in 4 hours could last the night if I just dont open the stove.

Good man! I've found myself splitting pieces smaller as we get older. I'm working all day so she handles the stove way more than I do. A pair of welding gloves that were too small for me work great for her too. We just walked our property and made note of all the trees that have come down in recent storms and discussed where else to stack wood. It's a joint effort and I am truly blessed!
