Not looking to pick a fight. All I'm saying is the two states with the biggest populations end up dictating the law of the land over the rest of the country. Think CAFE, and vehicle emissions in states that do have emissions requirements.

While I agree natural gas is more green than say coal, California has one nuclear plant and New York has four. The biggest issue in my mind of nuclear is the spent fuel rods.

I have natural gas heat, stove and dryer, and wouldn't give them up for anything. My preference in the last home I intend to buy/build is wood heat primarily with as much solar as I can afford. The wife has a diesel vehicle and when I was looking intended to buy a diesel.

The powers that be are trying to sell us a bag of doodoo that our natural gas heating, cooking and eventually power are evil. Sorry I am not of the belief that this is the case.

We cook a lot at home. My wife is an awesome cook. She won't have any electric range or oven. The only exception is an air fryer or crock pot. There was an electric range in our house when we bought it, and I ripped that range out day 1 and replaced it with a gas dual oven with 5 burners.

If they were to ban them, I'd find a new one or nice used before they all went away.

In the shed up in the Northwoods, there's a couple highest flow ( 3.5-4gallon flush) Kohler toilets squirrelled away from my Dad's plumbing and boiler business he owned. We have one of the mega flow original toilets in our house in the half bath and 2 of the mid gallon flushers in the full bathrooms. None of those 1.6 gallon or whatever low flow toilets here.

Your toaster plus the coffee pot draws more amps than my Volt when it’s charging . EV’s can very easily be programmed with the settings to charge when your sleeping or electric rates are at the lowest . For me at midnight it chargers . Not much other electrical be used at the time in my house .

I saw this tonight and it sounds like it's based on BS research.

But then, we're used to that already since we've been "following the science" for over two years now! :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

    Get in line!

American Standard Champion 4 toilets take care of the crappy flush performance that many 1.6 gal turd wranglers have. We have never had to touch another plunger again. Not sure we even have one anymore. I absolutely hated the original 1.6 units that were put in when built.

I've already seen the media spin this as a myth and the quality of food on gas vs. electric is the same...............Now I surely don't believe this either but I can see the narrative. Electric has it's place and in time perhaps have more but this switching on a dime thing is concerning.

I'd like to see the study and a real collaborative effort in educating us all why gas stoves are bad, what can be done? Can we ventilate better? Other option? Problem is you cannot find legit sources almost every piece of info has their spin or agenda.

A program I watched recently regarding the issue of gas stoves/appliances also ranked wood burning stoves, etc. as a major source of air pollution and air quality. Just saying that be ready for the loonies in DC to begin a march towards trying to eliminate these as well. You just can’t make this stuff up:headbang:

I was thinking that as well.
    Nice looking stove!

For years I have been looking for an old kitchen woodstove.
    Still looking.

Sounds like you charge at home. How many amps is the charger plug/breaker? Also, what is the amount of time to fully charge on the plug? The new Energy Code which became effective Jan 1, requires a minimum and mandatory 40 amp/240 volt EV charger for 1 and 2 family homes.

A toaster and coffee pot could both run off of one 15 amp outlet.

They are pushing the green energy way too fast and way too hard. The grid and the economy will not bear it.

Yeah, what about what's released when cooking on non stick surfaces...I'm not convinced its nothing.
And after they ban gas stoves, are the gonna ban all this plastic crap in our cars n homes that is sitting there off gassing from day one...I doubt it...unless someone can figure out how tax or control by doing so.
