I well remember when my wife and were first married we budgeted $10 per week for groceries. She still looked for bargains to save some pennies.
2 loads of lumber and a skid steer got dropped off in the yard this AM. Looks like they'll be starting construction soon.
The road commission had the grader out and pushed my snowbanks back! I have a wide driveway once again!! Thanks fellas....
Another slow day at the shop. Seized opportunity and covered up the chrome mirrors. This paint was much better.
So you say as I look out on a snow covered road I don't know why they try to salt while it's still falling, it only turns into a greasy mess that's slipperier than fresh snow.
Which shouldn't happen if it stays below freezing in the meantime. Also makes the roads more dangerous for drivers.
Imagine if you had to work there and deal with that? I have a friend that did and he said he went crazy from having that jingle piped into his ears all day.
Gonna use the plow to do some "fine tuning" on the county's snow bank pushing back job from yesterday. Clean up around the mailbox some more, scrape the driveway a bit kinda stuff. The weather has drizzle/light rain in it for a couple days before temps drop into upper singles. Don't want the messy stuff to freeze up and create havoc with the snow removal.
Now Yoop; such statements cause us to think 1) your give a darn.. is not broken 2) prior planning prevents poor performance You probably even realize that rock salt doesn’t work well in single digit temperatures.
The construction crew showed up at 7 (in the dark). It's frustrating just how fast these guys are. They have all the posts in the holes and half of them plumbed up already. That would have taken me all day, if I was lucky, which I'm usually not.
It helps to have more than one person doing the work. I think a lot of times it is only you so things take longer.
